Messmate Solid Hardwood Floorboards 80mm x 19mm

A lighter, highly attractive timber, Messmate can range from light yellows with touches of peach to pale, subtle browns. Evenly textured and richly detailed, is often noted for its breathtaking growth rings.

Sapwood is usually paler, while those looking to find messmate timber that skews towards slightly darker browns should look for heartwood. Messmate is most appropriate for use in solid timber flooring, as it’s not truly dense or hard-wearing enough for other applications despite its beauty.

Messmate flooring offers some of the most attractive and light coloured timbers thanks to its deeply detailed textures.

Grades of 80mm x 19mm Messmate Solid Flooring

Our 80mm wide Messmate solid hardwood floorboards are available in three grades. These grades are Select, Standard and Feature.

• Select grade Messmate has some colour variation but overall, is fairly uniform in colour.
• Standard grade Messmate has some pitch pockets and small knots, as well as increased variation in colour, while
• Feature grade Messmate provides a unique, rustic aged appearance with extenuated natural features. Features include gum vein, knots, face checking and insect travels.
